This was a customized application developed for a Honk Kong client who is a wholesale dealer for watches and has a Head office in Hong Kong, Factory in China and Branches in Dubai and USA.

The main feature of the application was that it was Document specific. The system could track the status of the order (Whether PO raised, Received, In manufacturing or Shipped) based on the sales confirmation number.

Another feature to mention was the communication module. As the lines between the Head office and Manufacturing unit were not reliable an in-house communication module was built. It would gather the changed data from HO and update in Factory. Similarly the data from Factory is communicated to Head Office.

The application catered the needs of Head office by accepting orders from the customers and raising purchase orders. The factory module had features to receive the goods, do Internal quality checks, Reject if damaged, Plan for Production, Stores, Production, Shipping and Packing list. Based on the shipping and packing list, the Head office would raise the Invoices to its customers.

Accounting module takes care of General Accounts, Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable.

An internet site was developed in order to enable its branch offices to create orders on-line and to review the status of the same in terms of whether purchase orders are placed against the order or not, whether all the raw materials required have reached the stores or not or its status in Production line or finished goods store. A provision was also provided to upload the invoices for these branches so as to enable them to download the same as Goods Received note upon receipt of goods the status of their orders.
